Losing a pet...

Over the years I have shared my home with many dogs, cats and even a few horses. Each one of them holds a special place in my heart and like all pet owners I know too well the grief of losing a furry friend.

Every time I a lose a pet I wonder if the joy they bring me is worth the pain I feel when the time comes to say good bye.

After time passes I always come to the conclusion that the love, companionship and joy they bring me does make it worth it.
Being able to give an animal a safe, happy, comfortable and loving home for their entire life is enough reason for me to share a part of my life with them - despite the heart break and pain that I know is waiting in the end. 

In this business we are asked to create lots of memorial items to celebrate lives well lived.  As difficult as it is to hear so many stories of grief and loss - both human and furry - it is always an honor to help those who are grieving by creating a physical memorial to their loved ones.

We made this plaque for someone who shared their home with a very special dog for many years.  A picture, a couple of paw prints and a nice poem made for a very special and heart-warming memorial.
