Newly Elected Congresswoman Jahana Hayes receives a custom lock box from Memories Made.
Just before Christmas we were asked by Dr. Khalilah L. Brown-Dean to create a custom engraved lock box for the soon to be elected Congresswoman Jahana Hayes. Congresswoman Hayes is an American educator and politician who is the U.S. Representative for Connecticut's 5th congressional district. She has been recognized as a state and National Teacher of the Year and is the first African American woman, and first African American Democrat, to represent Connecticut in Congress.
Dr. Brown-Dean was organizing an event during which attendees were going to be asked to write a card with prayers and well wishes for the Congresswoman which were then placed into the custom box.
Dr. Brown-Dean presented the box to Congresswoman Hayes and told her that when things get hard in DC to open a note and be reminded that she's never alone.
We wish we could have been there but according to Dr. Brown-Dean “She was brought to tears. It was a powerful moment made possible by your craftsmanship and the beautiful ornament and box. Thank you!!”
It was such a pleasure to be a small part of this special event and we’d like to thank Dr Brown-Dean once again for including us. As a small token of our appreciation we sent along a custom
